A Contemporary Chinese Residential Space

Inspired by the undulating mountains and rivers of the surrounding landscape, Zhou Wei sought to create a space that reflects the sentiments of literati. The design is a celebration of the beauty found in everyday life, with carefully selected elements that evoke a sense of divinity in the mundane.

One of the unique features of Glory Mansion Villa is its simplicity. Zhou Wei intentionally avoided using sophisticated techniques or emblematic approaches in the interior decoration. Instead, she focused on creating a space that feels as simple and familiar as daily life itself.

The skillful selection of textures plays a crucial role in the design. The use of haze gray tones is balanced with warm and elegant touches, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. Paintings on the walls mimic natural patterns found on tree bark, adding a sense of timelessness and connection to the natural world.

Throughout the space, scattered ornaments tell the stories of routine life. From a fisherman sculpture to an exquisite birdcage and wooden carvings, these small details mark the happenings of everyday life and add a touch of charm and nostalgia.

In the dining room, a geometrical art chandelier and sleek furniture create a modern aesthetic ambiance. Adjacent to it, a large brush painting showcases the oriental charm that is seamlessly integrated into the overall design.

Glory Mansion Villa is not just a visually stunning space; it is also a reflection of the designer's philosophy on life.
